S.P.O.T. knows you love your pet like a family member…
S.P.O.T. wants your beloved cat and/or dog to live a long and healthy life. We are also dedicated to decreasing the number of unwanted and homeless pets in our community. Breeding responsibly is expensive and emergencies are even more so. Puppies and kittens are cute but messy and are a lot of work.Young pups or kittens should never be given away for free if they are to be a valued pet in a home. Even shelters and pet rescues struggle to find appropriate homes for cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens.
Advantages of Spaying or Neutering
Did you know that one of the most basic things you can do to improve your pet’s health, longevity, and well-being is to have them spayed or neutered?
Did you know a high percentage of dogs and cats needing expensive and or emergency veterinary care are not spayed or neutered?

Some of the more common problems for intact pets are:
-
Being hit by a car
-
Dog or cat fight injuries
-
Reproductive system cancers and other hormone-based tumors
-
Complications due to breeding, pregnancy, and birth
Any of these can cost a pet owner thousands of dollars to save their pet.
We realize that the cost of spaying or neutering a pet is something that many families have trouble working into their already tight budget. S.P.O.T. recognizes that this financial impact is a hurdle when making the decision to have your pet altered. To help overcome this barrier, you are welcome to submit this application for financial asistance.
