1. Complete an adoption application – you will receive an automated confirmation by email. 

 

A dog application- a dog adoption counselor will contact you by email initially.

A cat application- a cat adoption counselor will contact you by email or phone initially.

 

2. Our pets have placement profiles.  If you application is consistent with that profile,  we will contact you for an interview and potential ‘meet and greet’ with the cat or dog.

 

3. We recognize that not all placements are a good fit.  SPOT’s policy includes a two week post adoption in home trial.  If the pet is returned during that period the adoption proceeds will be refunded (all but $25/dog and $15/cat).

 

SPOT accepts cash and credit cards for adoption donations. Credit cards at certain locations only.

All Cats and Dogs are:

• Spayed or neutered

• Treated for worms and fleas

• Micro-chipped and registered

• Cats are tested for FeLV and FIV and vaccinated for FeLV and FVRCP

• Dogs are vaccinated for DHPP and Bordatella

 

Adoptions include:

• ID tags

• Health record and Information packet

• Free post adoption well-pet exam from participating vet clinics

• Collar and leash (dog)

• Transition food (dog)
