Meet Some of Our Special Needs Pets!

I can still be adopted!

Some kitties may be FIV.  What does FIV+ mean? Those three letters mean the cat has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.  After years of research we now know FIV positive and negative cats can live together.  The virus is not transmitted by sharing food dishes, litter boxes or mutual grooming.
A neutered or spayed cat in a home is extremely unlikely to infect other cats if properly introduced.
The FIV positive cat poses no threat to other pets or your family and can live a long and happy life.
